Hydro Facial

What is it ?

Hydro dermabrasion is an effective, non-surgical quick and convenient facial procedure that uses synergy of vacuum, treatment solutions and manual exfoliation to remove the outer layer of skin and hydrate the skin. This treatment can help to get rid of acne scars, fine wrinkles and sunspots by exfoliating the top layers of the skin.

What is the difference between diamond, crystal and hydro dermabrasion?

Diamond microdermabrasion - is the most popular type of microdermabrasion. It uses tipped wands of
varied size and coarseness for different skin types and depths of resurfacing. The wand tip is made of natural diamond chips which polish the skin and remove dead cells, which are then vacuumed back into a waste filter. Natural diamond tips are easier to control and don’t irritate the skin.

Crystal microdermabrasion - is a closed vacuum system that delivers aluminum oxide crystals to the skin
to aggressively exfoliate away the dull layer of dead skin, smooth and re-texturize the skin, and leave it soft and glowing. A vacuum then suctions away the exfoliated cells and crystals from the skin’s surface.

Hydro dermabrasion - is an exfoliation technology that combines with ultra-hydrating fluids to permeate
deep into the skin, allowing the cells to drink all the nourishing active ingredients it requires for fresh and
healthy new beginnings. The removal of the stratum corneum results in skin that feels instantly smoother and fresher, whilst promoting new skin and collagen growth. Over a course of treatment skin will be left ‘glowing’ and will feel rejuvenated. The vacuum action draws away dead skin cells and also works to stimulate the circulation and promotes increased blood flow to the area. The production of collagen and elastin is stimulated, which results in a firmer, more youthful looking skin. Hydro dermabrasion can be used for all skin types on all areas of the body and face. It is recommend a course of 8, usually performed every 7 to 10 days.

People with acne or acne scarring might need more treatments and we recommend a monthly maintenance treatment after the course has finished to help maintain the results achieved. After
the treatment, the skin may feel tight with mild redness. Therefore it is important that clients use a good moisturizer. These effects normally subside within 24 hours of treatment.

How does it work ?

The Hydradermabrasion Facial uses 3 modalities: exfoliation, suction and infusion of serums. The exfoliation and suction lift and remove dead skin cells and debris from the skin/pores. The serums used are clinically formulated to target specific skin conditions, including fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture, clogged or enlarged pores, acne and redness due to flushing or rosacea. Typically Hydradermabrasion is performed on the face, neck, chest and back.
